The general rule is the darker the colour, the more the antioxidants and therefore the antioxidants are higher in red apples than others. Red apples contain antioxidants that can protect against neurological damage. This type of damage is associated with all kinds of diseases such as Epilepsy, Alzheimer disease and other dementias to name a few.

The pectin in green/yellow apples, helps you absorb less excess dietary fat and also forms a gel in the intestine that removes toxins from the body.

Pineapples are a great anti-inflammotory fruit via the enzyme 'Bromeline'. Fantastic for colds/illness as it helps fight bacteria.

Try eating the core as Bromelain concentrates here in the fruit. I suggest blending it or juicing it as it is quite solid.

Try your best to have it when the pineapple is at its ripest. This is where the antioxidant level is the highest possible.
